As a kid, Thomas Heath, the featured artist in Scott Robinson's autobiographical play, "Vision Warrior", wasn't even thinking about art; He wanted to become an athlete. However, his life took a different path. Now he is a painter using canvas as well things like ironing boards, shirts and jackets as his medium.
He started painting when a friend saw a doodle of his and told him that if he can doodle, he can paint. His friend took him to an art store, brought him paint and canvas and told him to paint. He has been painting ever since.
Although he has been painting for only 10 years, if you saw one of his pieces you would think he had some type of formal training. The truth is that he has not had an art class a day in his life. He explained that although he has made a number of mistakes in his paintings, many have turned into masterpieces. Some of his artwork has appeared in several books. During the summer he takes time off his craft to focus on other goals.
You can see one of his many art pieces in the play "Vision Warrior" starring Scott Robinson. |
