Rosewell is Unwell

The sci-fi drama, "Roswell", new episodes now comes on Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. on UPN 9. The series, which is built around three aliens who survived the Roswell crash, is starting to focus more on the personal side of the characters. This new season introduces a new character, Jesse, a lawyer. In only the third episode, Jesse asked Isabel, one of the aliens, to marry him, she said "yes." Dilemmas this season will definitely be whether or not Isabel tells Jesse about her hidden "secret" and whether Jesse can be trusted. Another character that is being focused more on this season is Michael. Unlike last season, where Michael was extremely protective of himself and not sociable, this season he is the complete opposite. Michael begins to hang out with the workers from his new job constantly, and in consequence of that, Msaria, Michael's long time girlfriend, does not like it. Overall I give "Roswell" a five on a scale from one through ten. "Roswell" has some potential this year, but the writers of the show could have definitely linked this season to the last episode of last season, where they find out one of the aliens is a betrayer. "Roswell" being on a new station does not mean the whole purpose and structure of the show has to change! The writers cannot erase the fact that last season the characters were on the verge of returning to their planet. What ever happened to that issue?
