Book Review on Confessions of a Video Vixen written by Karrine Steffans
By: Raeshawn Horry
The confession of a video vixen is a story of the life of a video girl that searches for love in the bedroom of Hollywood's most popular celebrity's. The life of Karrine Steffans, later to be called Yizette Santiago is documented; starting with her early years in St. Thomas with her abusive mother. Then with the death of her grandmother who was her only protection follows many obstacles for her in her life that landed her in the star city of Los Angeles. As Karrine tells her story she explains her reasoning for having relationships with various stars. Some of these same stars who are married with children. Karrine aka Yizette used these celebrity's for survival. She needed someone to help her support her and her son. After her various relationships she came to realize that what she was doing was wrong, so she decided to get her life together for her son.
Her change made her to decide to make it a book.
I think that Karrine did the right thing when she decided to make her life story into a book. It was a great idea because she opened up my eyes to realize the lies of television and the entertainment business. The book was like a backstage pass to all of the business a various stars. I enjoyed reading this book, it taught me a lot about decision making. The story also made me look at my family in a different light. I say this because Karrine didn't have a good family structure so her story made me thankful for all that I have. I hope that any young girls that decide to make the same decisions that Karrine made read this book for a guide of what to do and what not to do. It can really save a lot of lives. I also recommend this book to any celebrity who wants see the things that they do documented in a book.

TP3: Reloaded
By: Jazmin Smalls
Have you heard the new released album by the artist R. Kelly? Well if you didn’t I advise you to get his album soon. It is so good; especially the trapped in the closet songs chapters 1-5. After listening to it, it leaves you wondering what is going to happen next. To me R. Kelly was just another singer but after this album I think he is great. Trust me you will love it and plus it comes with a DVD so you can actually see what is going on it is wonderful and everything seems so real.
I never really thought that I would like R.Kelly’s music but I guess I was wrong I loved this album because everything seems so real and true and when the songs is playing you can feel the uplift of it. It’s amazing how you can make things come to life. That’s what you call talented. Oh yeah and before I forget let me tell you about the DVD, I won’t tell you everything but I will tell you a little about It. The DVD basically explains everything that he is saying in the songs and it shows you what’s happening while the song is going on. It is very interesting because I never thought anyone would ever try to make a song then after make like a movie to follow it.

I hope that R. Kelly comes out with chapters 6-10 soon because I know that it would be interesting to listen to because he left us not knowing what will happen next. Personally speaking I like stuff that is to be continued I don’t know why but I do. Anyways, I just want to let everyone know to get R. Kelly’s new album because you will love it trust me.

Lyfe Jennings 268-192
By: Dejinay Reid
I never heard of Lyfe Jennings until one of my friends told me about him. I was on my way from Washington D.C and she let me hear one song from the album and I loved it. So the same exact day when I arrived to New York City, I went to pick up the album. From that day forward all I listened to was Lyfe 268-192. If you listen to this CD you will love it. It’s real! Most people that listen to music are satisfied through the hot beats and how the instruments are playing. This CD has both the beats and the lyrics. The lyrics presented on this album are incredible and accurate at the same time. Lyfe's CD is a breath of fresh air, with its old style soul flavor. When you listen to his album it seems like everything goes from intense to serene. From Numbers one to fourteen, I enjoy every minute of it. “Must Be Nice”, “She Got Kids”, “I Can’t”, “Hypothetically”, “Smile”, are all my favorite songs on the album. The message that each song has, is such an inspiration to me. I can listen to each of these songs and relate it to true life, including my life. Today Music is not like the music in the 80s where rappers and singers had a positive affect on the lives of young people. Most people may not agree with everything he says, but its true. He talks about the church and people are quick to defend the church. I believe if an adult Christian listens to this album, they would understand a sinner’s situation. Lyfe admits his sinful life but he wants to change it and that is the best part of listening to this album, to understand why he did what he did during his life.
I enjoy his uniqueness the most. No he is not Usher, Omarion, Donell Jones or Mario. They all need to try and take heed from this CD. If you don’t have the album you need to make it your business to get it. I hate when good artist never make it to the top. People he deserves to sell albums. Lyfe 268-192 is in stores today make sure you get it. This CD will bring you back when real music was created with the best vocals ever. Make it your business to get Lyfe 268-192 hottest CD on the rack.

Bad Boys of Comedy Show Review
Ray Todman
The making of the show Bad Boys of Comedy by P.Diddy was a great idea; Bad Boys of Comedy is the funniest show on TV right now. Every show is about 27 minutes long and features about 3-4 comedians every show. The host of the show is Doug E. Fresh and the founder of the show is P.Diddy. If I had to rate this show from 1-10 I would probably give the show an 8 or 9. What I do like about this show are the comedians they are very funny. I also like how the show comes to cable on demand so I can watch it over and over and over, plus I can rewind and fast forward it. What I don't like about the show is that some times P.Diddy can come out and talk a little too much. The second thing that I don't like about the show is that the show is to short, it needs to be longer. The last thing that I don't like about the show is that it only comes on one day a week, so I have to wait all the way to the beginning of the following week to see a new episode. If this was my show here’s what I would do, first I would make the show an hour to an hour and a half long. Then I would put the show in other parts of New York City not just Brooklyn. I would also make the host and the founder of the show talk a little less so that the people could get on with the show and not be bored before the show starts. Also I would only search for the funniest of all to be on the show and then after all these changes happen then the show would be a perfect ten.

Cassidy: "I'm a Hustla' "
By: Catalino Rodriguez"I’m a hustla' " was the second new released album by the artist, Cassidy. Everyone knows Cassidy by his freestyles battles. Cassidy is on the road to becoming the best rapper alive after Jay-Z. In one of his songs on the album he says that he is trying to take Jay-Z place. On this album there are 15 tracks, and there were a lot of featured guests. The guests on this album were Nas, Quan, Mario, Mashonda, Raekwon, Executive Producer Swizz Beatz and many more. Most of the tracks are pretty good.
Track 1, Cassidy battles himself as the hustla vs. the problem. Cassidy the hustla wins; this track was really good because in the hip hop community there was no one that has ever battles themselves. The first single "I’m a hustla' " was really good, this track even had a remix feat Mary J. Blige. The second single "B-boy Stance" was also good; this song had two versions of videos. In this album he had a few love songs, only two of the love song was pretty good. "Bellybutton" was a song that did not really make any sense, he talks about girls taking off their shirts and showing their belly ring. Cassidy has a track that was very educational, the track is about black people, the things they had been through, such as trying to make a different in the world, and this track is perfect.
Cassidy also had a few ganger songs. Cassidy had a song in the album that was also in the street album call, a.m to p.m. that song was ok, he talks about, how he will kill a man, that song is not for kids under 14 years of age. Also must I say that the second version of the video B-boy stance is on the album. If you have not heard the album, I say you should get it. I think Cassidy will sale more copies then his last album, The Problem.

Bad News Bears Review
By: Jasmine Hamm
Have you been to the movies lately? If not, the perfect family movie for you to go see is Bad News Bears. It’s rated PG-13 and is somewhat appropriate for young children. I know what you’re thinking- I saw the same exact movie when I was a kid. But you’re wrong. Paramount Pictures and director Richard Linklater remade the 1976 movie into a modern hit. Although it placed number six in the box office, I am sure you will get one laugh out of the movie.
The characters are still the same, but apparently the actors aren’t. Billy Bob Thorton plays Coach Morris Buttermaker; A shabby former professional baseball player recruited by Liz Whitewood (Marcia Gay Harden) to coach a group of 12 misfits and turn them into an exceptional baseball team and win the championship against their long-time rivals the Yankees (coached by Coach Ray Bullock (Greg Kinnear).
All of these kids have different personalities. Unexpected, the pitcher is a girl (which happens to be Buttermaker’s daughter-Amanda Whurlitzer (played by Sammi Kane Kraft). Her crush was also placed on the Bears (Kelly Leak played by Jeffrey Davies). The rough rider of the group is Tanner Boyle played by Timothy Deters. The intellectual of the group is Prem Lahiri played by Aman Johal. An Armenian boy (Garo Daragerbrigadian played by Jeffrey Tedmori) had a hard time being accepted into his family because baseball didn’t amount to anything in his country. There is only one African-American member of the team. His name is Ahmad Abdul Rahim (played by Kenneth “K.C.” Harris). Mike Engelberg is the heavy-set boy that’s on the Atkins Diet is played by Brandon Craggs. Toby Whitewood, Ridge Canipe plays the son of Liz Whitewood. Timmy Lupus (played by Tyler Patrick Jones) is very feminine and has a hard time fitting in. A set of Hispanic twins- Jose Agliar (Emmanuel Estrada) and
Miguel Agilar (Carlos Estrada) doesn’t get a lot of lines because they don’t speak English.
My favorite character of the movie is Matthew Hooper (Troy Gentile). It’s ironic that a boy in a wheel chair would be placed on a little league baseball team, and even placed on the field. There are tons of characters, tons of names and tons of laughs. You’d be crazy if you didn’t go see this movie. From the director that brought you "School of Rock" working with the writing team behind "Bad Santa" comes a hilarious 2005 homage to an irreverent 1976 comedy: "Bad News Bears." The will be in theaters on Friday July 22, 2005.
