'The Point' at 940 Garrison Ave in the Bronx, is welcoming all youth and young adults to get off the streets and get to 'The Point'! "It's a comfortable place for kids to come and chill out," says Flaco Navajo, host of The Point.

'The Point' is a community development corporation involved with the arts. There are poetry readings for youth and young adults called verbal ingredients, which are open mike poetry readings that happen once a month. The readings for young adults are not recommended for youth under 17 because it is uncensored and topics that are addressed may not be suitable for an immature audience.

There is also an OBIE award winning theater where plays and concerts are held as well as the poetry readings. There are classes available for a low cost and sometimes free. Dance, (ballet, tap, Latin jazz and break dance) yoga and guitar lessons are just a few of the classes offered at 'The Point' as well as free internet access.

'The Point' also stands up for environmental justice by cleaning the area of the south Bronx, Bronx River and much more. In the words of Navajo, "We are environmentally concerned."

The Point is a great organization to get involved in. Members as well as staff are friendly and inviting so get off the streets and get to 'The Point'!
