Juxtaposing altruism and empathy, Reverend Alfonso Wyatt is truly one of New York's finest. Rev. Wyatt is the Vice President of the FCNY (Fund for the City of New York). The FCNY, established by the Ford Foundation in 1968, works with government agencies and nonprofit organizations. The FCNY provides assistance with technology and programs for youth.

"The FCNY is a very different type of organization," boasts Wyatt, "It is involved with both the government and the community." Rev. Wyatt works primarily with youth and youth based organizations providing leadership for the FCNY's Youth Development Institute and Community Youth Employment Programs. "I'm a leader and I think I have brought leadership to the organization." One of the many problems that FCNY faces is the growing Digital Divide. " We use technology to address social issues," says Wyatt, " We look at who has access and who does not."

Rev. Wyatt has worked with young people for most of his adult life. Rev. Wyatt also worked for the New York Board of Education, and many other organizations, lending them his charismatic and verbose leadership skills. He takes his job very seriously helping individual youth that who show both potential and drive to succeed despite many adversities. "I've always been interested in helping people", says Wyatt, "I want to shape the lives of thousands of young people".

Rev. Wyatt has successfully committed himself to helping people, or "putting them in the life boat" as he puts it. "I try to leave home without the intention of hurting anyone. This keeps me leveled and focused." Rev. Alfonso Wyatt has proved to be both a community and spiritual leader.
