Open Call for Young Black Female Writers
by Danya Steele

In a world filled with predominately stereotypical, derogatory images of what it is to be young, black, or even female, 17-year old Christen James Walker, co-author of upcoming book "What I Know Is Me" is breaking the mold and smashing the pretentious scenery.  An aggregation of essays, short stories, journal entries, letters, novel excerpts, articles, poetry, and anything in between will supply the composition of the book, and Christen's looking for young, African-American women with something to say! Your voice, your soul, your work will be published if chosen, so what are you waiting for?  If there was ever a time to speak about who you were, who you want to be, and even more importantly, who you ARE, it's NOW. Check out www.WhatIKnowIsME.com for submission details!
