Racial profiling is nothing new. Corporations, police, government officials, all perform racial profiling. But reverse racial profiling has sparked a new interest. Most people associate racial profiling with minorities. But in the case of reverse racial profiling, the majority, or white people are being targeted. Recent incidents of white drivers being pulled over in high crime areas have affected everyone—white, black, majority or minority. Get a sense of what some people feel about reverse racial profiling in this edition of “Man on the Street”

Do you believe in reverse profiling/discrimination? If so, why? No, it is always the same, the police and the brutality towards the blacks. Not the same as the whites or Jews. "I ainąt racial".

Certain ethnic groups are targeted for particular grants and scholarships, for which white people arenąt eligible. Do you think this is fair? Yes, people have to save to go to college. Nobody can depend on the white man. People only support whites. Many whites donąt help others. People must work and save to be able to go to college.

Should affirmative action be reinforced? No, black people think that they can do what they want such as a crime and such, yet they think that it is acceptable, and they wouldnąt be penalized.

There are cases when white people adapt to elements of black culture such as rappers, like Eminem, clothing, appearance, manner of speaking and acting, and African dance. What do you think about that?
Right to do whatever they wish, with business, no problems.

Do you believe in reverse profiling/discrimination? If so, why? No. I do not. It should not be done to anyone.

Certain ethnic groups are targeted for particular grants and scholarships, for which white people arenąt eligible. Do you think this is fair?
Not all white people are wealthy. Some are poor. Scholarships should be established for every one, because they can be used by anyone.

Should affirmative action be reinforced? The government should leave affirmative action the way that it is. Race does not matter.

There are cases when white people adapt to elements of black culture such as rappers, like Eminem, clothing, appearance, manner of speaking and acting, and African dance. What do you think about that?
People see blacks acting a certain way and they hear popular music. They try to emulate this. It is a fad that will not last. Once people get older, they will leave hip-hop alone.

Do you believe in reverse profiling/discrimination? If so, why? No, I donąt believe in reverse racial profiling. It should not occur either way. People should try to compromise and get acquainted.

Certain ethnic groups are targeted for particular grants and scholarships, for which white people arenąt eligible. Do you think this is fair? The government should come up with a scholarship for more people, and keep some others separate. Even if you are a minority, what if someone else is more qualified?

Should affirmative action be reinforced?
I have no real comments because I feel that there are so many ways to get money for cigarettes.

There are cases when white people adapt to elements of black culture such as rappers, like Eminem, clothing, appearance, manner of speaking and acting, and African dance. What do you think about that? Affirmative action should definitely be reinforced. It is very important, but children know nothing about what will affect their future.
