I remember when she first called me at college Her words I could not understand, Her words were mixed with tears, her mouth protected by her hand She said "Kai is not doing too well, There's blisters on her skin". I don't know where to start-nor do I know how to begin. She can't bathe She can't walk, My baby can barely talk. Ty,,, I don't know about the future For these doctors seem lost. Many days in the hospital, many sleepless nights I don't know if I'm trying to win, at a losing fight. That was six years ago, Mommy you've turned your weakness into strength, You've become an avid spokesperson God you should thank I've seen you cross-rivers, Climb Mountains and soar through the sky. You've allowed my baby sister to live‹ giving her wings and making her fly. I've always admired you‹as a mother and a friend Those words you muttered six years ago have finally come to an end. Your fear has become hope Your faith has awoke Many people in our lives, who have committed to strive, In this fight to save others‹in their fight to survive
