Hi, my name is Christina Lee. I was born at Brookdale Hospital at 9:27 at
night. I am 15 years old but on August 7 I will be sweet 16. I was born
and raised in East New York, New York. I like living in New York but sometimes
I yearn for some peace and quiet. But most of the time I love the noise
and the lights. I am and have always been very talkative. I love to voice
my opinions and love to just be heard. This is one of the reasons I like
HarlemLive. You get a voice. I just finished tenth grade at Clara Barton
H.S. for Health Professions and will be going into eleventh grade in September.
When I grow up, I aspire to be either an obstetrician, so I can help babies
be brought into the world, or a neonatologist, so I can help premature babies
through their first stages of life. But for now I am content being a member
of HarlemLive. I love to read. Not a certain type of book either. I just love to read. My other hobbies include swimming, writing and public speaking. I have five siblings and I am the baby. I have to fight to be heard so I began to look for outlets and people to listen to me speak. This is one of those outlets. I am creative, hardworking, dedicated and outspoken. I am a brave person and willing to try anything once. I am open minded and charismatic. Usually, I like to be in charge and be the leader of the pack but also I can follow instructions. I am interested in acting and I hope to be on TV and be a part of the reality TV show about HarlemLive. I like having the spotlight and love to be the center of attention but also I am good at working with a team and making sure that all of my team shines. I am a good friend to have because I am supportive, full of advice and well wishing. I can be serious but I love to laugh. I try not to get stressed out therefore I laugh and smile a lot. I try to look for the rainbow after the rain. I love children especially babies. I don’t have any younger siblings so I try to baby-sit my younger cousins as often as possible. Children can be a handful but I am always up for a challenge whatever it may be. I love to prove people wrong. If someone tells me I cant pass a test I make sure that I surpass his or her expectations and ace the test. I like to be right but I realize that this isn’t always possible and sometimes I have to admit I am wrong. This was a hard task to accomplish at first but I am getting better and better at it. I learned sometimes you just have to be the bigger person and I believe this is a very important lesson to learn in order to succeed in life. I think it is important to be you and not put on a façade in order to impress people. Be genuine and expect the worst but always hope for the best. I try to do the best I can and as long as I put GOD first I believe I can succeed in any and everything. l |
