Currently, I live in Southern Maryland working for NAVAIR as an Electronic Engineer. A little about me: I never knew my father. Furthermore, I used to live in an abandon building with no electricity, food, or showers. In addition, I was physically abused by my step father. To make things worse, I was taken away from my mom at the age of six and placed in a foster home after foster home and eventually group home after group home. Unfortunately, my mom passed away when I was 13 years old, while trying to get custody of me. Worse? I eventually ran away from the group home to live with my aunt. Worse? I ended up living on my own at the age of 15. Wondering how I made it? I never gave up. I knew that I had to take responsibility of my own life. Despite my past, you will seldom see me without a smile on my face. In addition, I am known as a trustworthy, reliable, down to earth, loyal and spontantaneous person. Many of my friends know me to be a good listener and one who follows up on a conversation / situation. I love to write poetry whenever something is on my heart. Type my name into poetry.com to view some of my work. I love to travel and explore new places when the money is available. I love to dance Salsa although I am not a professional. I am a huge Yankees fan. I love to play table pool especially when there is a challenge. I love bowling, going to the movies, playing board games, especially dominoes. Anybody up for a challenge? What else? Oh I also love paintball and laser tag. Something that always puts a smile on my face? Taking long walks by the beach (or any body of water) and praying to God. I feel that there is nothing more peaceful than enjoying the beauty of water and nature and knowing that this beauty came from the creativity of God. Most importantly, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I try and live my life the best I can to bring much glory to God. My main focus in life is to draw closer to God. Secondly, I enjoy teaching the Bible and helping others to developed an everlasting relationship with God. It was written back in 1998 when I first Join Harlemlive. Nor do I want to edit my old profile because it shows my level of writing at that time. I am an Senior at Urban Peace Academy. In addition, I am going to be the Valedictorian of my graduating class. My goal is to become an Electrical Engineer. All my life I've always thought of becoming an engineer but it wasn't till recently that I've thought of become an Electrical Engineer. To become an Electrical Engineer is a big challenge, but all my life I've been facing challenges. Therefore, I look at challenges has a test to the mind. If your strong you'll proceed, but if your not, you can still proceed. It'll take you a little longer but eventually you will achieve. Now in my senior year, I am an Intern as a Computer Technician at District Four. I go around to different schools and fixed computer problems. My boss's named is Richard Calton. He is also the Founding Director at HarlemLive. Through him, I've learn the different techniques of the computers and learn about HarlemLive. HarlemLive is a place where kids, teens and adults can developed their writing, social and networking skills. That is why I've joined and recommend it to everybody. |
