Hey,
my name is Michael Burgan. I'm a junior at Thurgood
Marshall Academy. I have been attending this school
since seventh grade and I like it. In the past year I
have taken two pre-college programs at The Fashion
Institute of Technology. Both of these were drawing
classes, which greatly enhanced the quality of my artwork.
Recently
I got involved in digital photography.
The instant I first started snapping pictures I was
hooked. Shortly after I got into photography I tried
to take it a step farther by learning how to edit and
manipulate my images on the computer. I started out
with simple, user-friendly programs like Image-Zone
but later I was introduced to superior programs like
Photoshop CS2. Eventually I actually started to
impress myself with some the things that I have done on Photoshop.
But
I knew that I was only scratching the surface of the program was capable
of. Some of the staff from HL came to my school and described the program
during my English Class. I was very interested.
They mentioned the benefits of joining,
such as exposure to new technology and access to
cameras. I want to get involved with HL so I can learn about professional
computer programs used in the industry. |
