Covering Historical Institutions

 


When covering historical institutions a reporter must get all background information on the instituion, even if you have already have info on it. Certain questions can be asked to ensure accurate answers. Below are a list of questions.

1. Who found your organization? (unless you are interviewing the founder themselves)

2. When and Why were you founded?

3. What was the ordinal mission of your institution, what did you set out accomplish?

4. How are you funded?, Is it very hard for you to receive funding?

5. What re the future goals of this institution, do you plan to expand or change locations?

6. What are the future goals of this your institution?

7. Where do you see it in the future say 10 to 20 years from now?


 

Personal Questions can also be asked of the person who you are interviewing perhaps the founder or the manager of the institution. Below are some preliminary questions that can help start you out.
