Connecting to the HarlemLIVE Server from
a Remote Location
Please Select One of the Following:
- I am using Mac OS X from a public computer
- I am using Mac OS X from a private computer
- I am using Mac OS X from a private computer
and would prefer not to use the terminal.
- I am using Mac OS 9.
- I am using Windows XP, NT, 2000, Me,
etc, that is not on a network.
If you are
using Mac OS X on a public computer.
- Open a terminal window and paste the following into
a prompt :
ssh –L –f –N 5480:harlemlive.servehttp.com:548 harlemlive@harlemlive.servehttp.com
- Press return and the follwing will appear:
The authenticity of host 'harlemlive.servehttp.com' can't be established.
RSA key fingerprint in md5 is: b4:cc:5a:9e:da:e0:85:de:7c:df:25:b2:07:af:88:45
Are you sure you want to continue connecting(yes/no)?
- Type yes.
- You must then type in the password for the server
(It is the same password that is used to connect at HL)
- Go to the finder press command + k.
- In the address field type afp://localhost:5480
- You are now connected.
