Life, Sucks, Then, Now, and Forever

by Crystal Little

It's me again and now I'm gonna drop some lines on life.

Being at the age of 14 you'd think I haven't even experienced life, or that these words that I'm typing are all made up, but why should I try to change your mind? So here goes nothing.

My opinion is that life is a force that washes the energy from you and makes you feel less useful, but that describes a lot of people's personality now doesn't it. (Those people are depressed)

You overcome huge obstacles that make you think and push you to unknown limits, but it's always the little things that seem to make you wonder, or change the way you think and sometimes it changes you. I remember when I was in 4th grade I used to "hang out" with Shaqanna and her crew(they were considered the popular crew), they used to talk about me, and draw ugly pictures of me and say "that's you." When a boy said he liked me they'd say in front of my face " he's got bad taste."

They used to play with me at the playground, but when we got to the classroom they wouldn't sit next to me or talk to me; instead they talked about me to the point where I cried right there in front of them. When Katrice asked me " are you crying cause of them?" I'd lie and say" no, my stomach just hurts."

They threatened me and the whole nine yards. Stupid me took their bullying, but within my last year of elementary I started speaking up for myself and unfortunately became what I hated the most a BULLY! However, fortunately, I graduated and left the stupidity behind me.

Now, you would think that when I started speaking up I didn't let anyone talk me down, WRONG. I met this chick named Jasmine, and she was cool at the beginning, but in 7th grade I started to realize some things were changing. She'd cursed me out in front of people and tried to boss me around. I guess I didn't think much of it at the time, because she was clever about it, but when 8th grade began all hell broke loose between Jasmine and me. We argued almost all the time, and she went out with every boy I was interested in. However, now, it just so happens that she is a lesbian!!!

I'm in high school now and unfortunately things haven't gotten any dumber but they've gotten more serious. The biggest problems are that people are not feeling as though they are RESPECTED. They feel UNWANTED and USELESS. That's probably why they join a family (gangs).

They think that's the only place where they can receive the love and support they are lacking at home. This is a huge problem because people start bringing beef to the school, and start marking areas and the school becomes divided and wars begin over colors. Next thing you know, even if you're not officially in a family you become apart of one.

These issues are simple and small things that people try to ignore, however, to the people who are effected by these "simple and small things" are deeply hurt. Everything that happens to you stays with you. You can't stop it if you didn't start it and we're all too busy with our own lives to try and end it.

Ok so that my opinion on LIFE and I hope yours has been better than mine, or most people's lives.
