The Last Stop

by:Tiffany Crawford

I could tell that today was going to be a good day. My brother had just walked into my room to get me up for school and I jumped right up, which isn’t a usual thing for me. I washed up and was on my way. When I got to the bus stop, my friends were already waiting for me. We got on the bus and started laughing and joking around. So far today was a good day.

When the bus reached my stop, I got off and started walking towards the next bus stop. All of a sudden I realized that I had left my book bag on the bus. I started running for the bus that I had left it on, but it was gone by the time I caught up. I chased the bus to the next stop. At that point in time I began to wonder if I was wrong about today being a good day.

I was so mad that I had lost my book bag, that when the next bus pulled up I didn’t even care. I just jumped on the bus and I told the bus driver what had happened. Feeling sorry for me he let me on free and radioed the other bus to see if he could found my book bag.

By this time it was 8:00. I was so mad because I was supposed to be to school by 8:40. I knew that I was going to be very late. At around 9:00 the bus driver received a radio that they had found my book bag in Pelham Bay and that was exactly were this bus was headed.

When the bus reached Pelham Bay I was so happy but I had to ride all the way back to Fordhan Plaza. The bus ride to school took about an hour and ten minutes. I didn’t make it to school until 10:30. I looked into my book bag and all of my Homework was gone. I got into trouble with every teacher.

After school I had to go to basketball practice. I was so tired. I really didn’t want to go but I went anyway. My coach worked us like crazy. I have asthma so I was wheezing and making mental mistakes. Thank god all of this ended when I went home
