The War Hit Home

by: Izzy Alvarez

We at the end times, with this war were all caught up
Sometimes I wonder is this war or is it slaughter
I pray for every parent who sent their son or daughter
To fight for this country and the solidness in which is was brought up
See I have a brother and they sent him out to war
I miss him everyday and pray he’s not gone for long
Though I cry inside my instinct is to appear strong
My brother is out there fighting for me while I’m safe at home
Many times I ask myself is this right or is this wrong
But then I think on 9/11 and say we have to even the score
What will it take for us to see we must go ahead and fight back
Will it take your family dying in a terrorist attack
Or will it take it to the point where they come up and raid us
By then our whole nation will be part of the AlQuida
We have to do something the fact is so evident
Or should we wait for Osama Bin Laden to become president
It’s a hard decision, should we lay back and let them hit us
Or should we go to war and have to listen to stupid critics
People say Bush is wrong and he’s staring Turmoil
But I really doubt he’ll risk our nation for a little bit of oil
For the people saying don’t go to war, how would you clean the stain
You wouldn’t and we’ll be one nation not under God but under Hussein
To my brother, I love you man, believe in that you must
But further more believe in its God we put our trust
