Excerpts From My Inner Self

by Ashely Paul

Good Times

Like the sun shining bright
Or a white Christmans, with snow trees,
It's warmness inside a person's heart,
Stronger than the coldness of ice,
It overcomes all of the bad,
Taking away the angry and sadness you have inside,
You feel you're on top of the world,
As sweet as honey or a candy bar,
Fills you up with smiles,
No more crying,
No more sadness,
All gone, no worries or displeasures
Just a big smile

Maybe an elf making socks for Christmas,
For little kids or their parents

Simple Things That Count
To have a home to go to
A toilet to use in private,
Having ears to listen to music,
Being able to get an education,
To have great teachers,
Havlng a family to live with,
To be only me,
Hearing someone call my name,
For God being my alarm clock, in the mornings,
But sometimes I still want to sleep
SLEEP, SLEEP.
