Colors

by Christophe Palmer

Why can’t she see
I love her more than life itself
She helped me see
the world as something else
She put the violet in my sky
She put the brown in my eyes
She put the orange in my sun
She put the blue in my ocean
She made me take the time to see
That the world is poetry in motion
She can’t see the colors
and she can’t see my loving emotion
She brought all this color to my life
but she still sees in black and white
But I love her
I want to touch her
but I can’t reach her
I want to hold her
but I can’t feel her
I want to kiss her
but I can’t be with her
Cause she just can’t see the colors
Sooner or later
I’ll help her see
all the colors
there are to see
And then
most importantly
she’ll see my love
and she’ll see me.
