I Have Feelings
by Kelvin Christie

My emotion is silent,
But your words are violent.
Your words are penetrating my soul,
Causing me to catch humiliation like a cold.
My self-esteem is in six feet deep.
My anger is asleep,
But these words I shouldn’t speak
Everyone is unique.
Why am I cast away?
What wouldn’t I pay?
Just to have a cool conversation for a day.
