Why Can't I Be Loved
B
y: Kelvin Christie

Why can't I be loved back?
Is it because my game is wack?
Is it the way I kiss you?
Could it be the way I approach you?

I opened my heart to you as pure as the sky.
I show you unconditional love purely.

I rub your feet when you say they hurt.
When you are cold I provide you my shirt.

I am that warm breeze in your hair.
So when I kiss you, it is to let you know I care.
When you take a dip in the water,
My heart beats to your laughter.
My love is the blanket that keeps you warm.
Then how can my love cause you any harm?
Why can't you return that warmth?
