What Teenagers Are Really Like and What Adults Seem to Think
by:Jose Rosario

They say we’re wild, they say we’re crazy;
They say we’re spoiled, and they say we’re lazy
They say we have no ambition-no will to get ahead.
They say that all we want to do is stay and lie in bed.
They say we’re stubborn and have no feeling, that when they refuse us, we hit the ceiling.
They say that we don’t know importance of money and we think that life is all sugar and honey.

They think we are gangsters, dropouts, jokers, draft-card burners, and marijuana smokers.
They don’t understand us and they don’t know why; well maybe it’s because they don’t really try.

Maybe they never told us when we were young the importance of being true and strong.
Maybe we thought that they did not care when they let us go any-and everywhere.
Maybe they never really took a time out to see what our problems were all about. But if you looked –you would probably see that we’re not as bas as we’re said to be.
You’d see we have problems; the same as you and we need some help to pull us through.
But most of the time help involves space between me and you …
