Sickness

by Katerina Vorotova

Embraced by misery,

I press on my bed

L:ike a cacoon of a Monarch butterfly

Dressed in covers.
Half-closed eyes drowned in pain

Examine the art of piled up used tissues.
Hand reaches to sake yet another one.
The cycle repeats
Mellow.Weak. I wait for recovery,

Still sucking life out of the moment.
