Reflections on the Movie - "Amistad"

THE DARKNESS

I'm somewhere, where there is no sunlight, scared and frightened. I am hungry and cold. There are people that look just alike but the only thing is, they don't speak my language.

So we communicate through body language. I never heard so many tears and crying out for help. The people are so confused, and mad that I am starting to see the devil in their eyes and ready to kill each other because of scarce space and food.

How can you destroy such beauty from which one came?

The pain in my heart is striking me hard causing my pulse to beat just like Congo drums inside my head. All I could do is squeeze my eyelids together. I will survive, but how? I don't really know but I will stand strong and pray to the gods and the old souls, so the spirit of my ancestors are behind me through thick and rough, no matter what!


IS IT THE SKIN COLOR? Is it the skin color? You look at me and you despise me. You treat my race with hatred as if we are animals. However little do you know we are building your country,your world, your wealth. We are the back bone of this world! You isolate me so I can't be the best that I can be. I walk int
