Jamming with MTV

ide the famed Radio City Music hall was a crowd of screaming fans and mass traffic in the streets. This reporter had a chance to see who was coming in and who was coming out of Radio City.

Many music stars were spotted. Dressed in all white was the group112. Also dressed in white was Faith. Busta Rhymes had on a purple body suit. Missy Elliott was wearing a cream colored casual suit. Lil Kim was in all gold with gold beads in her hair. Wu-Tang Clan were all dressed differently in Wu Wear get up. The group that had the greast response was 112. When they were in sight, the crowd went wild.


Besides seeing celebraties, HarlemLive also spoke to camera men, and audio directers. One camera man told us that doing camera work is not that hard but it does have its days. You have to go to school and stay focussed to be a camera man. The day after the awards that same camera man was assigned to do a story on Bounty Hunters from 7am to 12pm. Then he had to be back the same day to do the story. That's endurance.

The camera man also spoke on useful tips for HarlemLive's journalistic work, such as white lens. White lens means that the colors in your camera is not adjusted to the color of the object your recording, so you have to adjust your camera.

After we interviewed camera men and audio men. Reporters stopped and talked to limo drivers. One man told us that he drove Lil Kim and Missy's dancers. At first, the man was unable to pronounce Lil Kim's name. He would say "I drove that little rapper, that little girl what's her name?". After this "You drove Lil Kim?" Then he said, "Yeah, that's her."
