His reply was "Just the opposite. In training, I've found that young people actually view the effects of confrontational physical impact on a daily basis. Conversely, this serves to make the young person more aware of and sensitive to the potentially harmful consequences of violently striking another individual.
Remember: as Martial Arts Instructors, we must be ever mindful of the responsibility placed upon our shoulders and accept this responsibility with the utmost seriousness. These questions which run through the minds of non-Martial Artists constantly. For the sake of those who place their trust in us, and for the positive image that Martial Arts have enjoyed for millennia, let us come together and clean up our industry. Until next issue may god bless."
Also Michael Depasquel Jr. is going to be the star of the upcoming movie "THE CUTOFF".

SPECIAL GUEST
Sinbad Speaks to the Press |
Sinbad is also trying to promote Latinos on a part of his show Vibe called Latino Night. That is based on Latino culture. He says that when he was in Los Angeles he could have never seen blacks and Latinos together like they are in New-York because Los Angeles is filled with this gang situation that is separating his black and Latino youth from each other.
He said that with martial arts comes self control which teaches you to walk with anger. He said that its amazing the way the masters help you believe in your dreams. He said that he is trying to use the power that he has to change all the stereotype.
My assessment of the show is that it has a lot to benefit the youth. I think that events like this should be introduced to the youth because they can learn some history and also understand that violence is not always the answer.
Martial Artists Performing On Stage |
Master Chaka
Khan Above
The first master we came across went by the name of Chaka Khan. He was a master of Jujitsu. He was a straight forward black man. He had served time in the Marine Corps where he picked up many martial arts skills. It was unbelievable that he was age fifty and looked like a man who was only in his late thirties. He was proud to call himself a Martial artist and his words were quote "I love Martial Arts". He is also a renowned businessman due to the fact that he owns Dojos in many states and islands in the Caribbean. His schools motto was "Gain Control Over Body "and also he said that "people must be gentle in life". He asked that the youth strive to get whatever they want out of life and to listen to their parents because you can only have a mother and father once.
