What do you want to be viewed as?

I don’t really want to be viewed as the common model. I want to open doors for kids. I don’t want people to say “ oh he has a handsome face”, that’s not me at all, theirs more to me than that. I’m not the type of guy that’s going to drive around showing off all of his money, all that “bling bling”. Their are so many things going on in the world right now, their are people starving and dying througout the world, if I have anything, half of it goes to charity. I want to be thought of as the “man who cares”.

Ten thousand years from now when aliens land on the planet and their looking at old websites and books and they see Tyrone Edmond, what do you want them to see?

I want them to see a kid who has been through so much but was able to turn his life around to something positive, and make the way easier for alot of people. You know the minute that some people become famous life changes, and they begin to feel that they are higher than the average 9 to 5 person. I’m not like that, I will never change. I’m the same heart and I will remain to be so, because life is to short I don’t have time for that, their are more important things to concentrate on.

Give me and idea of your normal day

In the morning when I get up, the first thing that I do is drink a tall glass of water, and then I don’t eat until about 10:30 11:00. I then go to a gym and do about 200 sit ups.

Yeah, I don’t do anything too heavy because I don’t want to get too big. And I also read alot of books. I’ve been doing alot of research on the AIDS epidemic in africa, and I tend to watch alot of movies. That’s pretty much my day.

What are some of your favorite movies and books? For the ladies out there who want to know what Tyrone Edmond is all about

Well I don’t want kids to think that this is one of the best movies out there, but it’s one of the movies that I always watch, they call it a “thug movie”, Scarface, I love that movie. If you go to my house you gotta watch Scarface. I also like How Stella Got her Grove Back, my man Taye Diggs doing his thing.

What Are Some Books that you like to read?

I read alot of french books and their mostly love stories. I like stories that show black people in a positive light. not showing them standing on a corner hustlin’ but rather making something of themselves.

What’s your love life like now?

I’m single now, I recently got out of a four year relationship. She just recently went back to school. Her parents basically governed her life. They made all of her descisions for her. I will always love her and I hope that maybe one or two years from now when she has grown more that we could maybe get back together. I don’t want to push her, I told her one day if she’s ready and I’m not taken that I will be their for her.

What are you concentrating on now?

Right now I’m trying to focus on my acting career. I’ve done acting in the past and I’ve enjoyed myself. I have been given several scripts but their kind of ruff. I’m looking for a positive character. I don’t want to be perpetraited as a thug. If that’s the only way I’m going to be able to make it as an actor, to take these negative roles,then I guess I’m not going to make it. But I feel their are alot of roles out their I just have to be patient.
