When scientists decide to play God the consequences always win over in the long run. The momentary rewards that come along with the success of their experiments will make every thing seem all right but what if the means are not justified? This is one the many questions that should be asked when it comes to human cloning. Scientists have recently decided to clone over 200 humans. Congress is voting on the issue in this month of August and president Bush has already made up his mind about the matter. He is against human clowning. The very thought of scientist clowning humans is one that sounds outrageous. It sounds crazy on two main levels that concern me. One level is that the soul of a human being is precious and unique. No one has the same soul, no one has the same heart. It is that way for a reason. Diversity is what makes this world so colorful on the inside. How can a man give a soul to another when it is not theirs to give. How can a man not think of that aspect. It is quite clear that spiritual things have no place in the hearts and minds of men when it come to science. Yet the spiritual aspect is only one of the two main levels to consider.
The physical disabilities and deformities that have been predicted
if human cloning does happen is a The reasons to go through with human clowning are not enough to justify it happen. Scientists say clowning is for those couples that can't have a baby. But lets face reality. There are many children that have not been adopted yet and that should be an option for childless couples. The world is already over populated anyway. What scientists need to do is find a way to clown food so more can be produced and sent to those starving in the US and in other counties or to clown some thing useful for everybody and not just couples seeking a baby. If clowning was 100% proven to work then maybe people like myself wouldn't be so judgmental, but the fact of the matter is innocent human beings will die in the process of this scientific break through. Although scientists are the ones we look to come up with new things that will advance the world, we should really consider how far they will go and if the means justify the rewards and success. Other wise we might cause our own downfall by not being cautious, because It is not all in the name of science but in the name of the human race. |
