The Candy Bar rush

by Guyan Wilks
Photos by Jonathan Knox

A piece of candy erupting with sweetness

Is all you to crush and defeat this

This monster who destroyed your parents union

Is now seeking to bring you pain and confusion

. It destroyed other marriages piece by piece

Now it slowly seeks your life to become deceased

There is know mistaking its presence around the house

as sister yells at sister and spouse yells at spouse

This house has become a place for the tortured and beaten

Now where is the feeling that made it all good and sweeten

All of a sudden the very light bulbs have become a dark sight

And even that piece of paper on floor is annoying you at night

Who do believe the groom or bride

As you are forced to choose a side

After all she said dad slept with that lady last year.

But you also saw mom kiss that guy over there

Your mind is rushing as the noise elevates

There is around to who you can relate

So you rush to the store where you choose a candy bar

And for one small minute Mr. Kit Kat has become your window of Escape to land thatıs far.
